I combined a small collection of vintage postcards from someone's (not, alas, my own) trip to Italy with card stock to make an accordion book. A little book like this would be a nice alternative to a scrap book (for the non scrap booking types, of which I am one). The blank back side would be a good place to glue in tickets, bits of souvenir brochures, photographs, or just a few notes on where you went and what you saw. Just looking at these postcards made me want to pretend I'd been there and make something up.
Cut each postcard in half, try to be as exact as possible. Cut one identically sized piece of card stock for each piece of postcard. Cut card stock hinge pieces approx. 2 inches (6cm) wide and the same height as the postcard pages. Create a folding line at the center of each hinge. You will need one fewer hinges than you have pages.
Glue the hinges to the pages. Make sure you alternate sides to get an accordion effect.
Glue the postcard pieces to the plain card stock accordion book.
