I suppose most big projects grow out of all proportion and take on a life of their own. This one did.
It's finally done though! It's not perfect, but I learned a lot and I'm generally pleased with how it turned out. I'm looking forward to starting on the next issue for Winter!
My sister contributed several projects to this issue and corrected my "creative" spelling and grammar. My husband took many of the photographs (most involving me wearing winter clothes outdoors in the dead of summer). I thank them very much!
The very first issue of Nuno magazine has grown to 150 pages (it's 100% ad-free, so that really is 150 pages) and over 30 projects. Projects include the knitted fern pillow shown here, animal masks (perfect for Halloween costumes), a giant wool mushroom, handbags made from place mats, toilet paper tube puppets, the twig diorama shown here, jewelry made from pebbles and lots more projects, all made from salvaged and recycled materials.
